the goverment inspector by nikolai gogol

5) One book that made you cry
k.. not really cry.. but the saddest book ive come across so far...tuesdays with morrie by mitch alborn. However i was reading this on my flight from Mombasa to London.. I other reasons to be sad about ..

6) One book that you wish had been written:
when i was 13ish i wanted to write a book about the earth moving away from the solar system and its consequences.. well i started but got nowhere lol.. it would have been called 'the earth ahead'

7) One book that you wish had never been written:
im a terrible critique.. can't really tell..

8)One book you’re currently reading:
memoirs of a geisha by arthur golden

9) One book you’ve been meaning to read:
purple hibiscus by ngozi adichie, books by abdulrazak gurnah

cool.

I'm currently reading to much to list them all!

The earth Ahead sounds good, so you now have one reader, all you have to do now is write it!

you choose well with the desert island Q

This was a sad book, I remeber reading this on the train into work one day. It was really powerful, I decided to finish it before I went into work. Sat at the station for an hour reading it before turning up to late work

books by abdulrazak gurnah

Desertion....is set in Mombasa as well so is extra good. Also the protaganist shares his name with my surname. Was kinda freaked when I read the back cover.

Except for the Qu'ran what's a book that's changed your life?

the stations such a nicee place to read.. evn though i've prolly just sat there for 10 min to read lol..

hmm.. I had no idea who Abdulrazaq Gurnah was until this summer in Zanzibar. I came across 2 signed books by him at my aunts house..but by that time I'd started reading a copy of my aunt's 'memoirs of an arabian princess'.. which I still have to complete

the online version of arabian princess is available here. It's quite good..

Except for the Qu'ran what's a book that's changed your life?

I don't think I've read a life changing book so far.. any suggestions?
